AMEB is offering free online Theory of Music courses

The Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) are providing free online Theory of Music courses in an effort to support music education through the COVID-19 outbreak.

The three courses available are Grade One, Grade Two, and Grade Three. Normally priced between AUD 49.95 and AUD 69.95 these courses will be free until 30 June 2020 and enrolling before this date ensures you have free access for twelve months.

Over 35,000 people have enrolled to date. Detailed information about how to enrol and access the courses can be found here and a sample video can be viewed herein.

This is one of many great initiatives lead by the AMEB to support music education. In their webinar series Break the Isolation they’ve featured special guests from many areas of the music industry, like Greta Bradman and Benjamin Northey, to offer advice on topics such as online teaching strategies (studio and ensemble), well-being and connection, music in times of crisis, and music theory.
