Leni is well-loved by Adelaide audiences through his time as the charismatic frontman of Adelaide’s high-energy outfit Local Revolution. In 2019 he made strides with his original solo work and won the SCALA Festival of Original Music‘s Live category with his single ‘Cold Love’.

This was also the year which saw him landing major support slots for Grammy-Award-winning artists Bombino, Santana, and The Doobie Brothers; sharing the stage with Dan Sultan, Maxi Priest, and Justin Timberlake’s World Tour support act Common Kings.

Leni sees music as a force for good. The Chilean musician is a humanitarian at heart. Having fled his motherland with his family at the age of two he has a deep respect for the traditional custodians of Australia, the land which he now calls home. Leni believes it is his duty to heal the world through music and speak out in respect for the earth, indigenous cultures, animals, and all living things.

His new single ‘Magnetic’ embraces all that Leni represents, in a catchy, soulful anthem that makes you want to sing, dance, and fall in love! Leni cites an assorted roster of artists as influences. Namely, Frank Ocean, Daft Punk, The Weeknd, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Paul Simon, and Santana, but listeners can look forward to something both refreshing and original in his hybrid sound.

Leni draws deep inspiration from the 60s Motown soul funk era, old-school RnB, and classic disco, merging them with his love of futuristic electronic sounds to create a single that speaks to the future while acknowledging the past.

Produced by Logan Watt (Ollie English, Wanderers), ‘Magnetic’ emanates a fresh yet nostalgic feel, embracing the theme of universal love and respect for the divine feminine energy.

Imagine yourself leaving this galaxy, floating through outer space in a disco time machine. Stars flashing, grooving through the cosmos to “feel good space vibes”, and falling in love with someone you’ve just met: that’s ‘Magnetic’.
