It’s easy to see why the Sunshine Coast is a tourist magnet. Following a busy week filled with memorising songs, script, and choreography, I acquainted myself with a couple of its icons and I am richer for it.
I travelled through a vibrant labyrinth of stalls that celebrated art, music, food, fashion, and so much more.
This maze of creativity had a remarkable energy about it and as I walked deeper into the hive of humanity, I discovered some extraordinary creatives and entrepreneurs.
Eumundi is 21 kilometres south-west of Noosa Heads in Queensland. It hosts Australia’s largest artisan markets with more than 600 stalls and it is open every Saturday and Wednesday. Since its inception in 1979, it has grown in popularity and has on average 1.6 million visitors per year.
The coastal town of Noosa Heads features a tree-lined shopping precinct and a fabulous beach. I visited during peak season and I parked my car just outside of Hastings Street on Noosa Drive to avoid any parking issues.
It was a leisurely three kilometre stroll to Hastings Street and upon arrival I indulged in a delicious Tropical Bowl at Noosa’s Blended Health Bar before exploring the area.
Restaurants, bars, fashion, crafts, hotels, and galleries surrounded me and I peered into colourful nooks at my own pace.
I treated myself to a beautiful Write Now journal by Compendium. It spoke to me because it had a mermaid and a quote by Anais Nin on its cover and I can’t wait to fills its blank pages with new ideas.
My feet led me to a laneway and onto the main beach where many people were baking their bronzed bodies under the sun.
Palm trees and white sand warmed my spirits and I walked barefoot along the coastline.
I am definitely enjoying living and working here.
